Village Camping in Calabria
The Village Camping in Calabria Costa Verde located in Capo Vaticano near Tropea is an autonomous resort of approximately 16,000 sqm. The complex was built in 1969 in the middle of a small green oasis with high trees and is located directly on its own dazzling white beach between Tropea and Capo Vaticano, the most famous and beautiful coastline of Calabria on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The climate here is also dry in July and August and not too hot and pleasantly warm during the other months. The clear waters of Tropea and Capo Vaticano, shimmering in bright blue-turquoise, are so clean that for years it has been awarded the Blue Flag and the “Four” or “Five Sails” of the Lega Ambiente environmental organization, while Ricadi and Capo Vaticano have been recommended several times in the “Guida Blu”, the Blue Guide of the Italian Touring Club and the Lega Ambiente. “Les Grands Voyageurs” were even more generous in their rating, because for them the entire coastline is one of the “100 most beautiful in the world” and “the three most beautiful coasts of Italy”.
From the resort you can experience breathtakingly beautiful sunsets almost every day over the nearby volcano Stromboli, the Aeolian Islands, Mount Etna and Sicily, all of which can be seen from here.
On the beach there is in the immediate vicinity the possibility to rent boats or to visit a diving school, the diving club, a sailing school, etc. In about 2 km distance you can play tennis or ride a horse. In the vicinity there are numerous restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets and other shops.
